Most macramé plant hangers start with a wooden ring. That’s typically the easiest way to get started since you only mount a few cords onto the ring, and there you go.
I decided to change things up a bit and do it without the wooden ring. It requires a few extra steps to make a handle for the plant hangers, but it’s actually super easy.
While this project doesn’t start with a wooden ring, I incorporated a small metal ring in the design to spice things up. This project is great for learning how to incorporate other materials, like rings, into your designs.
