Step-by-Step Instructions

Mini Flower Pattern

Step #1:
Tape / pin down vertically the top ends of 4 cords at 35 cm long each.
Take the outer left and right cords and make a Square knot.
Step #2:
Separate the top cords in half and with the top-right cord as an anchor cord, make a DHH (Double Half Hitch) knot downwards to the right.
Step #3:
Group the working cord with the anchor cord for the next DHH knot.
Step #4:
Repeat the same on the left side.
Step #5:
Add one more DHH knot on both sides using the same method of grouping previous working cord with the anchor cords.
Step #6:
Take one cord from each side at the bottom and make a diagonal DHH knot to the left.
Step #7:
Make 2 more petals for a total of 3 petals.
Step #8:
Trim off a few of the middle cords from each petal.
Step #9:
Add a strand of 10 cm cord of your choosing in the center of the flower.
Step #10:
Take a 30 cm strand of cord as a working cord for a Gathering knot.
Make a loop with one end of the cord. Holding the loop against the petals, wrap the other end around the petals several times.
Weave the loose end through the loop and pull it to tighten the knot.
Trim the loose ends.
Step #11:
[optional] To hold the petals closer to each other, wrap a piece of wire Around the center of the petals at the top.
