The Endless Falls Knot

 

The Endless Falls knot is a decorative sennit that resembles a knitted braid pattern on the front-side. It can be used to make a variety of strap-like projects such as keychains, lanyards, bag straps, plant hangers and jewelry.

The front resembles a knitted pattern whereas the back-side resembles a ladder strap pattern once you turn it around. 

How to tie an Endless Falls Knot step-by-Step 

  1. Tie a strand of Color #1 cord onto the mounted object (dowel) with a Lark's Head knot. Before tightening the knot, weave a strand of Color #2 cord through the Lark's Head knot horizontally.
  2. Criss cross the Color #2 cord-ends into a loop underneath the middle 2 vertical cords.
  3. Take the middle 2 cords under and through the back, pulling the cord ends through the middle section of the same 2 cords right above.
  4. Pull on the working cords to tighten.

When repeated, the pattern will look like this:

When you turn the pattern over to the backside, it will look like this:
