It all started with a single knot.
My macrame journey began sitting on the couch with a roll of cotton cord, a cup of tea gone cold, and a heart full of excitement.
I had fallen in love with the aesthetic of macrame wall hangings — the textures, the patterns, the way they instantly made a space feel warm and intentional.
I didn’t know all the techniques yet, but I felt confident I could bring one to life with my own two hands.
I followed a tutorial and made my first project: a keychain.
It was... not great. The knots were uneven, the cord was stiff, and I remember holding up the keychain thinking… “Yep. This is definitely not going on my keys.”
But even though it wasn’t quite what I’d envisioned—I felt something spark.
It was the first time in a long time I felt calm, focused, and—dare I say it—proud.
So I kept going. One knot became a pattern.
A pattern became another keychain. keychain turned into a wall hanging and the wall hanging sparked a calling… and before I knew it, it became an addiction.
And now, here we are—Bochiknot.
This isn’t just a craft club. It’s a creative space for people who’ve been pinning macrame projects for months… but don’t know where to start.
