The Reverse Lark's Head Plus Half Hitch Knot

Bochiknot Macrame Reverse Larks Head Half Hitch Knot

The macrame Reverse Lark's Head Plus Half Hitch ("RLHPHH") knot is a variation of the Reverse Lark's Head mounting knot, where a Half Hitch knot is tied on both sides after the Reverse Lark's Head knot is made.

The RLHPHH knot is often used in macrame to secure a cord or thread to a base cord or object.

How to tie a RLHPHH Knot step-by-Step

  1. Take a strand of cord folded in half and attach it to a mounting object with a Reverse Lark's Head knot.
  2. Take the right cord-end and make a Half Hitch knot on the right.
  3. Take the left cord-end and make a Half Hitch knot on the left.
  4. Pull on the working cords to tighten.

The RLHPHH knot covers more space on the mounting object in comparison to the Reverse Lark's Head knot on its own. It mimics the look of Double Half Hitch knots, which works well if Double Half Hitch knots are used with the RLHPHH knots.
