Macrame Knots You Will Need to Know 

For this project, you will need to know the following knots:

• Double Half Hitch Knot (DHHK)

The above knots are basic knots widely used in many macrame projects.

You will need the following materials to create the lace pattern:

 

• 3mm macrame cord
• Wooden dowel
• Measuring tape
• A pair of sharp macrame scissors

Cord Lengths

For this project, you'll only need 12 x 300 cm (118”) of 3mm macrame cord.

Creating the Diamond Lace Pattern

• Separate the cord sections into 8-cord sections and make 3 x Double Diamond Patterns.
  

Step 2

• On the far-left and far-right sides, make a winged pattern.
  

Step 3

• Make mini Diamonds to connect the inner sections.

• Make the Double Diamond.
