It's braided around a hollow core, so the structure is tighter, the surface smoother and knots sit flush and even. Braided cord also doesn't fray into fringe, so finished pieces keep a clean, sharp edge. We don't recommend washing this cord. Instead, a soft brush, lint roller or gentle shake is usually all a finished piece needs.

Store unused rolls in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which yellows and weakens cotton over time.

This cord is natural undyed recycled cotton. Recycled cotton can show minor colour variation between production lots, so for large uniform projects buy all the cord you need in one order.

1 roll = 2–3 beginner projects. This cord comes in 3mm × 300m and 4mm × 220m.

As a guide, a single plant hanger takes about 30–60 m of 4mm cord and a small wall hanging about 50–100 m of 3mm (approximate; patterns vary).

3mm × 300m gives a finer, more delicate look and more cord per roll. 4mm × 220m gives a chunkier, bolder look, and knots stand out more.

Braided is smoother and firmer than single-strand, which is what gives clean, sharp knots; a customer calls it “soft on hands and easy to work with” (Dianna K.).

Single-strand brushes out into fluffy fringe; 3-ply is firm and structured; braided gives smooth, very clean and sharp knot edges, less stretch, and no fringe.

If you want fluffy fringe, choose single-strand instead: braided won't brush out.

Request a refund within 30 days of your order date by emailing Hello@Bochiknot.com with your name, order number and reason. Return shipping ($18 CAD within Canada, $20 USD for the USA) is deducted from your refund, and original shipping charges are non-refundable.
